Gist of the case:

             The petitioner has filed writ petition against MPSEB’s order dated 7.1.2003 whereby show cause notice issued to the petitioner for major penalty.  The petitioner was appointed in the year 1989 as Schedule Tribe employees as she was married to Ashok Kumar Raikwar, who comes under Majhi  cast.  The petitioner was Gupta by caste before marriage.

            In year 1996 the caste certificate of the petitioner was sent for verification to Collector’s office Jabalpur in accordance to Board’s circular dtd. 19.12.96,  following directive of State Government requiring such verification. A report dtd. 4.2.02 stating that the cast certificate of petitioner was not found correct was received. After this the disciplinary action was initiated as per rules and the petitioner was dismissed.

           The reply was filed in court by MPSEB on 1.5.2003.  The petition is likely to be heard in next few month.
